Gold, baby, Gold!

If you are Canadian I think it would be almost impossible not to be celebrating today! Whoops and Hollers came from our family room last night as we watched a Canadian skier take GOLD! The first one for Canada on Canadian soil! YEAH! So.....I celebrated in the best way I know how...to color and create a card for the event. See how my black flourish has a "C" shape for canada. I decked out my little "Flurry of Love" Pure Innocence girl from My Favorite Things in true olympic ware. I used my 0.1 multiliner to write CANADA on her toque.
Here is a close up of her. I stamped her in versamark ink and embossed her in GOLD (of coarse). I used my copics like watercolors.

Here you can see my little plastic palette and I filled my water brush with copic blender solution. A great look you can achieve using your refills this way! It is going into my little book that I carry around to certification events....PROUD to be CANADIAN!

Off to watch more Olympics...the men take the downhill ski hill today and the pairs free skate is today as well....you can tell how I will be spending a lot of my time in the next two weeks!
Hope you are having a good one!

We are glued to the TV watching the Olympics too!!!
This is soooo super cute, Sherrie! I love the PI cuties to bits but I have had to resist making any purchases as of late...on a stash diet! I love what you have done here. The gold embossing is perfect and I love her touque! I haven't "water coloured" with my Copics in a while...must do that again! Thanks for the inspiration and I hope you are keeping well! Enjoy watching us get even more "BLING" at the Olympics!!!
