Now that I have that little tune stuck in your head....here is the fun sneak peek of next weeks' Kim Hughes release! All I could think of when I saw these little ants was them carrying off my picnic lunch. There are a lot of fun pieces to this set but I am showing you a couple of my favorite images.First off, that tree! See the possibilities...the paper piecing you could do!
Then the food, the watermelon in particular...love that!
Here is a close up of one of my fun details on this card. The plaid picnic blanket...yes, it's fabric...stitched onto my card. I also wanted a few of the ants directly on the blanket. I stamped them and they weren't as solid as I wanted....
No matter, just took my copic marker and filled them in!
See the streaky look on the tree trunk. After I had colored the tree trunk I took my blender pen and swiped it up and down to create a little texture.
