Happy Friday! For today's cupcake challenge I used something very different from a cupcake! I was in the mood for something inspirational to start my weekend. I love this Thomas Kinkade! It is called The Light of Peace, and the sentiment is from the motivational centers in the Mona Lisa Moments line. I used vintage photo distress ink to soften all my edges.
You will notice that I turned Taylors' sketch on it's side today.
Here is a close up of my focal point. I colored this inside image with perfect pearls and water in a paint like consistency. I cut it out with a spellbinder oval die and then mounted it on top of the image stamped again in a lighter ink.
Here is the sketch so you can play along in TAYLOR'S challenge.
Don't forget to see what the rest of the cupcake crew came up with:
Stephanie Hargis: Steph's Stampin' Stuff
Vicki Chrisman: This Art that makes me Happy
Jami Sibley: More is More
Monika Davis: M.A.D. Stamper
The cupcake sampler this week is one of my favorite peeps!...LORI CRAIG! You can find her fabulous work at Making A Difference.
Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend!!
