What is so incredibly cool about this?... It is NOT paper on a vase, it is the new Thomas Kinkade image TRANSFERED onto a ROUND vase! Yes, round....not square! Woohoo!
I saw this image transfer technique using photos and acrylic paint and I thought that could work with a stamped image too....I layed down a thick layer of paint using an acrylic paint dauber and stamped my image on copy paper with archival (ranger) ink. I then set my image into the wet paint, let it dry completely....then use water to LIGHTLY rub off the pulp of the paper to reveal the image.
Here is a close up of the image (you can see that it is mirrored from the original stamp). What a fun project to share with you as well as the RELEASE of the new TK "Streams of Living Water" you can find it at Cornish Heritage Farms HERE.
Another fun video for you to watch too! This one is done by Lisa Strahl, I filmed her (and made her a coffee), it is really informative if you are searching for paper and ink options with the Thomas Kinkade stamps. Here it is:
Have a great day!
