The challenge is on once again! This week we are challenged to use our distress inks. These inks are fabulous and can do many things. I thought I would show you a card that displays some technique. You can use distress inks just to "muddy up" your edges and to age but here I did a lot more.
The first think I did was ink up the "nature silhouette" blooms from Cornish Heritage Farms and then emboss them in white.
I then used my craft sheet and pounced my shabby shutters and vintage photo inks and then spritzed it with water. I dragged the bottom half of my card through the ink and then gave it a quick heat set.
I wiped my craft sheet then did the same treatment for my top half using "broken china and antique linen".
For a final touch I flicked some water to create some spots on the top half....a cool look.
Finished it off with some treated grungeboard, sentiment and brads.
Here are the deets of the products I used.
Stamps:
Nature Silhouettes (CHF)
Inks:
Distress ink (broken china, shabby shutters, antique linen, vintage photo) Ranger
Frost white (colorbox ink)
Paper:
White cardstock (prism)
Accessories:
craft sheet
water mister (ranger)
white embossing powder (CHF)
copper brads (dipped in white embossing powder)
Grungeboard (Tim Holtz)
Sewing
