CHF Challenge Chicks

What a fun flocking challenge....say that three times quickly.... I know it is a little early for Christmas but I got this new toy and an idea so....Christmas it is. The girls over at Cornish Heritage Farms created this challenge using fun flock! I must admit, I do not use this wonderful embellishment enough! I decided to make my big owl from "U R A hoot" some snowy wings and a hat. I was trying for the light fluffy look of snow...

The cool new tool. See the large circle ring. I cut this on my new circle cutter by EK Success (with a little enabling help from Julia). You can read her fun write up about it here. It is hard to see in the photo, but my ring stands off on dimensionals and that is what my owl is sitting on. Plus it looks like a big Christmas ornament ball. I paper pieced the owl with my leftover scraps of designer paper.
