Here is a quick card that I wanted to show you. I did a dozen of these up for Valentine's Day.Funny story. I tried to load both of these videos into one and spent the day yesterday trying to upload it to youtube. I have limited computer knowledge and little did I know that my file was WAY to BIG. I guess I can babble a little too much! LOL! So you have the option, you can listen to both videos, or just watch one.
The first video shows a little coloring and the cool airbrush system.
The second one gives some sewing tips.
The videos are all in "real time". I guess I should do less talking and learn how to edit (fast forward) some of the dull parts. Thanks for hanging in with me as I learn!

These were great! My three year old was watching with me and it kept his attention too. I kept scrolling up to look at the finished card and he was getting upset and wanted me to just keep it on the video. :)

Thanks for the sewing YouTube. I just got my machine back from the repair shop last weekend and hope to get some cute stuff going, assuming I can sew in a straight line!

To answer a few questions:
Yes, these are copic markers, they are the CIAO style of copic marker.
I am using the copic airbrush system. I bought this at "All that Scraps".
Alli my sewing machine will be ready when you come!
What is this sets name? WHo makes it?

One question-- do you pull your thread to the back of your card to tie off before trimming?

Good question Deborah, it depends, if the end of the thread is close enough to the edge then I scotch tape it to the backside. However, in this card, the stitching end is the middle so I just trim as close as I can....this is why it is important to backstitch, so it doesn't all unravel.
Look at you go! I still think you are going to have to charge admission or something!

Oooooh, how I liked both of those videos. I received a sewing machine for Christmas and I have not used it on a project yet. And I have to have the airbrush. I am on the hunt for it. Thanks for the wonderful info and inspiration.

That is a great tutorial. I have never been shown how to sew on paper and that had a lot of great information. I also apprecated having the camera over your left shoulder it was easier to see around your right hand, and in this case the sewing machine.
