Clam Digger

If you are like me and love this girl from the "punny farm" set then I think you will get a kick out of this card. She is supposed to be a farm girl, but with these buckets she could be building sand castles, or in this case clammin'. I love it when sets are versatile like this! I combined the "punny farm" set with the "By the Seashore" sets from My Favorite Things. I used today's "try a new technique" challenge to fold my dahlia flower. Have you noticed how well the Amy Butler paper matches the style of the MFT stamps? Fresh, fun, urban and modern.....love it!
I colored this image with copics and airbrushed the sky. I used the technique for coloring that I show in my video, using a transparency. The ink does dry very fast on the transparency but if you rub it with your light marker it will still lift off to transfer color YKWIM?
A couple questions were asked:
Do copics color well on transparencies?
I have not had luck with this, because the alcohol makes the ink dry lightning fast there is no time to blend, hence a lot of streaking.
Have you had to refill your markers yet?
I am placing my first order for refills today, there are a few colors that I use for sky and ground cover that could use refreshing. Also the skin color that I use a lot.
I am not having to replace any nibs at this point, they are of fabulous quality and I am impressed with their durability. You all know how much coloring I have done with these markers!

Have a happy stamping day! (No puppies yet here....waiting patiently)

I saw this card and literally gasped. It is beautiful.

Copics rule. I too find them very easy to use, and you'll have no trouble refilling them at all. They almost become economical since they can be refilled, as it doesn't really take that much.

Good luck with the puppies. I'm actually babysitting a puppy this week...I had forgotten how much the little bundles of love can keep you on your toes.
