Perk up!

Taking a little of my own advice to "perk up", I am feeling a lot better today! Thanks for the well wishes! I started with the sketch challenge on Jen's blog, this was a great way to get started. I wanted to play with this Crafty Secrets set that hasn't seen much ink lately. This is from the "coffee and tea" set. I colored it with the copics you see in the photo. The oval nest die was perfect for the shape of my image and I pulled in the red color with the sewing along my edges.

Here is a close shot of my focal image. If you click on this photo, you can even see it closer.... ack! There is glaze to accent this vintage coffee pot and I did go over the heavy black parts with my copic marker to make them even bolder. I added a light gray shadow to ground my image and added a little pink to the cheeks.

Thanks for the sketch Jen!
Happy Stamping!

WOW..great coloring. I love the glaze, too. That coffee pot is just like the one my mom and dad used to use when I was growing up. I love that stamp.

I hope you're on commission with Crafty Secrets, because I for one have bought every set from them that you have used to make a card..its true, their stamps are awesome, and I LOVE the vintage style, but you're cards are so incredible, they're what really sells the stamp set for me..guess I'll be making another order tomorrow..!!!!
