Non-Traditional Embellishments

Today I was challenged to make a card using only non-traditional embellishments. No flowers, brads, pearls or anything that you could buy at your local scrapbook store. Out came my sewing box and I went riffling through fabric and goodies I could use. It can be tricky combining paper with fabric. Sewing paper to paper is MUCH easier than sewing fabric to paper. Fabric stretches and moves, this took me a couple of tries. If you want to participate in this fun challenge, click on the link HERE!
To the card, I love "shower time" by My Favorite Things! This image is SO versatile. I can make it fun and whimsical or soft and pretty. I went for whimsy here. I colored the image with my copics going over with color again in the spots where I thought would be shading. Outline with my cool gray marker. I am using Adirondack ink with my copics and I think this works the best without smearing or bleeding. If you haven't jumped on the papertrey bandwagon yet....saddle up! You really need to try their white cardstock, it is so heavy and images stamp really crisp on it! Consider yourself enabled....lol! Have a great day!
