Holiday Road

Off we go! I thought you would love to see our fabulous traveling machine. It reminds me of that National Lampoons Vacation movie....I'm humming "holiday road" in my head. It managed to all get in and so far the trip has been wonderful. Keep scrolling down past the pictures I did manage to save a few cards for you while I am away.
The tent is up! Wow, not bad for rookie campers I must say. We had trial by storm our first night tenting! Thunder and Lightning... the whole shabang! I just silently prayed that no lightning would hit the wet field our tent was anchored! We did manage to stay dry! What a wonderful tent!

Here is my daughter's friend at the farm. There were some farm cats that the kids just loved instantly. They begged me to take one home... this was NOT going to happen but they loved to play with them. Now onto my card!

Yes, this truly is, my favorite SU flower. This was created to try an capture a feel of elegance. This was another "dirty dare". Something that is hard to see is that there is a sheet of acetate over the flower that the flourishes are stamped on. Looks quite pretty IRL. It is bound at the side but the acetate layer is allowed to flap at the edge, the flower is just glued on. I was in the mood to add some weight to this card with all the pewter brads running up the side. Topped off with some of that wonderful Martha Stewart ribbon that matches so well!

Art of life flower by SU
Flourishes by Rhonna Farrer
Prima and pearls
Pewter brads MM

Till the next time I have computer access!

I am assuming that Mike avoided taking a bath during the thunder and lightening storm...no baths at the campsite, but maybe a trough close by?
