I have done a ton of "playing" with my new toy....my copic markers. I love it when the colors of a project all match in tone and intensity. This is really easy to achieve when you color everything to match. Here is a quick little tutorial for those of you who have purchased these beauties. Those of you who haven't.....let me enable you! Hop on over to My Favorite Things to get a fantastic price on these markers! Kim is so wonderful to deal with over there.

Copic markers
Do you find that you have bottles and bottles of primas but sometimes don't have quite the right shade? It happens to me. Since purchasing my copics at MFT I have found a multitude of things I can color! The beauty of these copic markers is the ability to color and not leave those awful streaks behind. I love the 144 color variety I have to choose from!
To color I simply used the broad tip of the marker and this process goes very quickly. Make sure you have some scrap paper behind your flower....not your project! LOL!
Since I have two accent colors on my project I wanted to back the green prima I colored with this purple one. This will also tie in my ribbon and stamped flowers.
Finally color your ribbon. I have used grosgrain but this also works with satin ribbons as well. I have yards and yards of white and off white and now my colors are limitless! Love it! Hope I've inspired you to get out and color!

Sherrie, this card ROCKS!!! I love the colors. I always hated to color with markers because of the streaks. But from your tutorial I may have to rethink my marker hating days. Thanks for all the information I am off to check out these Copic markers!

BEE U TEA FULL !!!
This is so pretty! I'm getting some from her too! I can't wait! Never colored with them, though, so I'm sure that there will be a leaning curve, but I can't wait to get my hands on them! Hugs!
I like your blog and your work!
This card is sooooo beautiful. Thanks for the hints on "coloring" flowers and ribbon.
Beautiful card, Sherrie! Can't wait to try this with my Prismacolor markers! (I think they're the same as the Copic, right?)
Oh so coordinating! It's perfect! Thanks for sharing the tips on the Copic markers too.
Sherrie,
I love the card, and I just got my first Copics and I can't wait to use them. What ink did you use on your flowers and stems? Or did you color your stamps with Copics, too?
Thanks for a great tutorial!
Hi Regina, No I didn't color the stamped image with my copics, you can't color on you stamps with these...they dry too fast. I used fresh ink from Impress for the flower and SU classic ink certainly celery for the stems.
Great ideas, Sherrie -- and wonderful card! TFS!
