Birthday Flower

Today I had a chance to sit down and just play.....I drew inspiration from this gorgeous pp by Basic Grey. Scarlet letter is one of my favorite pp lines, I bought it right away loving the immense detail each piece carries. The only struggle I have had is what do I put with it to make it my own?? Anyone else have this trouble with patterned paper? I wanted to use my new flower stamp by Stampendous and color it to match the pp but this wasn't enough to make it look like it belonged. The swirls from my Fancy pants acrylics were just the right touch to add some white and to help my image blend. Clear as mud, I know. It made sense in my head....lol! Topped off with a couple of primas and a jeweled brad by MM. Oh and of coarse some ribbon. Hope you are enjoying the fabulous weather I am getting right now!
