Copic Coloring Guide Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Copic Coloring Guide Blog Hop!  We've got information about the new book, beautiful coloring, stunning card projects, and BLOG CANDY!

The Copic Coloring Guide is a new book by Colleen Schaan and Marianne Walker.  It's the perfect resource for beginner and intermediate coloring artists alike.  The book contains information about the different styles of Copic markers, explains the coloring/numbering system, details how to pick good blending groups, teaches a number of blending techniques through illustrated tutorials, and de-mistifies the colorless blender marker.  And that's just in the first 18 pages!   The book also contains over 40 beautiful coloring card projects separated into beginner, intermediate and advanced skill level.  Each card project includes step-by-step coloring AND assembly instructions...  along with supply lists and manufacturer information to make recreating the projects simple and easy.

Here is a cute little project that I did for the book. If you have taken the copic intermediate class you may recognize the coloring with a radial light source (the lamp).
This image is "Bedtime Story" by My Favorite Things.

The book is published by Annie's Attic, a division of DRG, also the publishers of the popular CardMaker magazine.  Click HERE for more information or to purchase the book (also available in PDF electronic download).

How would you like to win an AUTOGRAPHED copy?  Each of the contributing designers is hopping today and each one is giving away a copy of the book...  signed by both authors AND the designer.  To be eligible to win, please leave a comment on THIS post telling us your FAVORITE COPIC COLOR!  Posting will close at midnight on Saturday (July 9) and the winner will be posted on Monday, July 11.

Make sure to visit each of the designers blogs to see their favorite project from the book and for a chance to win your own autographed copy!

Félicitations pour votre blog.

Cute card. I only have one marker and it is a shadow for snow, not even sure of the #. But, I am thinking of some greens like the pine tree green G29 as one of my first purchases. Afterall, I won the wallet and the one marker is lonely in it!

It is very hard to pick just one color. I am one who likes to have a large box of colors! You know, I had to have the super large box of crayons. How can you paint with just one color? I do like R29. Hope I win. Thanks Much!

Wow, this card is DELIGHTFUL! At first glance the image is adorable. Upon second glance (lots of staring and drooling) I'm stunned at by the beautiful shading/shadowing cast from the lamp. *ahhh. It's so beautiful! And to top it off, you created a beautiful evening scene with a moon and star?! Perfect!

I really can't imagine life without E33. B000 is a lot of fun, too. My little ciao ran dry on G14.

Choosing one favorite is like asking a child to eat just one piece of candy! :-( I'd say, "Not fair" ... but my husband always reminds me that a "fair" is something we go to once-a-year! So ... let's go with R29 and bring on the lipstick! :-)

I don't own Copics yet so haven't really thought about a favorite color. I can't even say I have a favorite color 'cause it varies with the subject matter. Food = chocolate (that I'm sure of!); Horses = palomino would be first choice; Flowers would have to be the yellows and golds - but a favorite??? Your card is darling. TFS your many talents.
