Congrats....but not for me....

Part of submitting to things is accepting rejection. I never would have had a chance at the Paper Craft Idol contest if I wouldn't have submitted....right? So....here is my "reject" although I personally love this cheery card.

Congrats to the 20 that made the finals from over 1600 entries!

I made this card with one of the newest Pure Innocence girls from My Favorite things called "Aim High". There is a kite you can stamp with this set but I preferred to make my kite using the "Fly a Kite" Die-namic die.

I used some pretty picket fence paper from Lily Bee and then added my own twine for the string. I colored with my copic markers. The little clouds are the "Flat Bottom Clouds" Die-namic. I cut them out of my card front and then popped up the card front on a white card base.

Make sure you check out my copic coloring guide book blog hop and enter for your chance to win an autographed copy here.

Our family has a full weekend planned....I will hopefully have some pictures to tell you all about it next week! Enjoy your weekend!

Well I like your card better than at least 12 of the winners. *wink*. Sometimes it's hard to figure out why or how cards are chosen over others. This is super adorable!

I personally think this is amazing! as some of the other posters have said, I like this better than some of the chosen 'winners', but Paper Crafts doesn't always suit my taste with its super simple cards. yours is much nicer to look at with the beautiful coloring, neat touches such as the cut out clouds (LOVE that!), and all of the extra little ways you go above & beyond.

your bloggy friends love YOU for YOU! so keep on keepin' on!
enjoy your weekend! :)

Well your card may not have been picked by that publication but I think you being featured in Stampers' Sampler as a guest artist is quite an accomplishment. Just seeing your name on the cover prompted me to buy it and I wasn't disappointed. But then again I never am when it comes to your blog. You are in inspiration to all who love your work.

I agree, this should have been in the top 12...or they should have made an exception like they do on American Idol, sometimes, and have a Top 13! It's fantastic, and sweet, and the coloring is so beautiful!
