Monday, Monday

Monday....clearly my dog had way too much fun on the weekend enjoying the gorgeous weather and running in the yard with the kids! Although this is what I FEEL like doing, there is far too much to be done to go there.....
Yes, I am enjoying playing with flowers these days. Making my own custom flowers for cards are really fun, and these large flowers have pins on the back so that they can be pulled off and adhered to headbands, tote bags or anything else that needs a little girl appeal. Moxie Fab World has a fun new challenge and it is to use fabric in your design....well as not too much of a challenge for me as I do this quite frequently, it is fun to play along. You can play along too! Click HERE for those details!
To make this flower I pulled out some very old and dated eyelet fabric. I had a piece of felt cut into a circle for the base that is covered with adhesive then I loosely wrapped my eyelet fabric into a circle. I pulled out my copic airbrush system to add some color. V95,V99 for the eyelet fabric and then I made a little twill tape rolled center that I airbrushed with BG72.
The lavendar layer of card stock is Arturo paper....beautiful texture! You can find some in Ellen's shop here.
The patterned paper is lovely Melissa Frances. I only had a scrap of it left so I am not sure of it's name but you know you love a paper if you are using scraps! I used Melissa Frances white ric rac as well.
I also used my copic multiliner pen to add another frame to my card and tie in the black sentiment. I have seen this done by Nicole Heady and just love the look of sophistication that it brings.
I also used my new die-namics from MFT. This is the jumbo scallop....seems that I am reaching for it all the time!
Here is a little close shot of the sentiment. It is from the "Clearly sentimental about Mother's" set from My Favorite Things. I actually stamped it twice. Once in juniper ink (Ranger) then again in black...love the little shadow effect that brings.

Wishing you an enjoyable and productive Monday....I have had a latte and am off to the races today. My daughter is playing one of her piano pieces in a piano festival today so in between picking kids up and dropping them off at their events today I will be prepping for Alaska this weekend. I can't wait! Should be a FUN long weekend!
Later!

Very cute. I think I have some of that eyelet lace somewhere--thanks for the idea (now if I can only FIND it)
