I am looking forward to another fantastic year in certifications for 2010!
It was such a pleasure meeting together with these women and we got to do it all at the COPIC headquarters in Oregon. The staff is so warm, wonderful and diverse. YOU SHOULD SEE THE WAREHOUSE.....ALL those pretty markers just waiting for a hand to direct them....I couldn't help but stroke a few (tee hee).

SO.....in honor of the new girls joining us COPIC has generously offered some fabulous blog candy! You will get the choice of either 12 sketch markers (OF YOUR CHOICE) or the ABS1 airbrush system!

How to win? Please leave us (the people on the blog hop listed below) a comment letting us know either how you use Copics, which Copic products you use, why you love them OR why you wish you had Copics.

One winner will be chosen from every blog and in addition to that Copic will be reading through comments. If they find a testimonial that they really like, then they will contact that person to use his or her story for the CHA booth and would then give the person an equal prize to the random winners. In other words, make your comments good! There will probably be two or three winners chosen total on comments, as well as the one winner for each listed blog. These will not be announced right away.

The drawing will happen from my blog from this post on Saturday November 12th at 12pmPST. Good Luck....what a fabulous prize!

I love copic sketch markers because they make it so easy for someone (like me) to show some artistic ability. They really do add pizzaz to all kinds of images and the colors choices are endless. Of course, due to budget reasons, I agonize over which few to purchase next because I want them count.

Cheri said...

Oh how I would love to sit with a rainbow of Copics around me while I work! They are so easy and fun to use. . . quite forgiving for a beginner too! Thanks for a chance to win, Sherrie!

What an awesome chance to get some copic markers. I don't have any but would love to have the chance to play with them.

Love, love, love the vibrancy and dimension Copics give to my stamped images. I have been purchasing the sketch markers one by one and have finally pulled together a group of colors that allow me to do shading and blending and actually color an entire image. I'm sticking with the sketch because I think I eventually want to branch out into the airbrushing technique.

I love the shape of the Copic Sketch markers, not only because they won't roll off the table - but they're so cute. I love the durability of the nibs and the fact that the markers are refillable. The color choices are beyond compare. I love the numbering system that gives a heads up to non-artistic types like me on choosing colors for blending. They are just a quality product that I'm excited to learn more about.

I do not have any Copics markers, but I am ALWAYS impressed with how awesome they are. I've been dying to make the investment into these professional markers, but I want to learn to use them right. So glad to hear there are more instructors out there to teach us.

I need to win the Copic markers! :) I only have 1 marker & I love it. I'm researching the copics to see which ones I need to buy & can't wait to get more. They are the coolest markers! Thanks for the opportunity to win.

C. Sage Deerborn said...

I use copic markers because they are the best method of coloring out there. They make your project look professional. They are also refillable. That's good on the pocket as well as the environment.

I kept reading about how great the Copic markers were and looked all over for them locally. I finally found a place with a small inventory and add a new one to my stash whenever I feel the need for a treat...it beats indulging in a chocolate binge...and I have something left afterward besides more inches on the hips. I love the fact that you can color without obscuring the stamp detail

SueB said...

I've wanted to try them but not made the plunge yet ... thanx for the blog candy opp!

I've recently started using copics and took a class at a local stamp store. I've never used the airbrush, but love the effects it gives!

Crafty Cath said...

Copics are my go to tool! I have bought 3 sets of 12 from my local store in the past three weeks alone. If my husband gets to buy his beer - I reason that I should be able to build my Copic collection. They last far longer than his 12 pack does. The color choices alone give you that kid in a candy store rush! Love them.

I love my Ciao Copics to colour in my stamped images. The reason I jumped on the Copic bandwagon was because all the cards I saw and were beautiful were all coloured by Copics. Amazing markers and I'd love to win more!

I love to color and have always loved watercolors because they blend so nice - now I have found copics and how nicely they blend but with more control than watercolors - perfect!!!! Would absolutly love to play with the airbursh system!!!!

I have never used copic markers but have seen the beautiful creations from Debbie and want to learn to color like her! I like the idea that more instructors will be available across the country. So maybe I'll be fortunate enough to take a class or two. Thanks for sharing!

Congrats to you for being chosen on such a great team! I am very excited to see more certification classes in the works- I really would like to take the class and share Copics with others. I love the Copics and how they make my cards look so much more vibrant. My Mom teaches China painting and has such an eye for color- I cannot paint freehand, but when I use stamps and the art is done for me I am excited to find ways to make my cards look pretty! Thanks so much!

Lueyes said...

I am using Copics almost all the time in my card making I love to color with them as they blend so nicely. I would like to learn how to use the airbrush!

Sharron said...

I love my Copics! Nothing can compare with their versatility, vibrant colors and ease of application. I use mine almost every day. While I love stamps that can be colored, just adding a little color to patterned paper, a button or pearl, a fabric flower can make all the difference in pulling a design together.

Dawn Womble ♥ said...

I follow many blogs. And I have noticed that the card(s) are done with Copics. They are all beautiful and I hope that I will be one of the lucky recipients to finally own Copics. My family and ESA sisters would get all handmade cards this year for Christmas done with Copics, of course! Thank you for the opportunity to win.

I love my copic markers (well, the few that I have) and keep buying more a few at a time. They are so easy to apply to paper and blend so beautifully I can't imagine going back to anything else for coloring in my stamped images! And an ABS for airbrushing would be FABULOUS!

Unknown said...

I'm a Close to My Heart consultant, and so I have LOTS of stamps! The copics are sooo great at bringing the stamped images alive. I also love that they are alcohol ink so they not only make blending easy, but you can color on any surface, too! I discovered that I can color on my clear buttons and plain twill ribbon to make them match my stamped images. They look great!! I can't wait to try out the airbrushing next.

Copic markers are just the best! I love the great selection of colours available, from the lightest pastel to the most vibrant colour and everything in between! I love how you only need a few Copics to get lots of variation in your coloring. I've managed to do quite a bit with just a few markers, and that's helped me stretch my crafting budget that much further.

Copic pens are very versatile. They blend and colour images so well. They are great for the budget minded who want to colour brads, ribbon, chip board and a variety of other embellishments.
I also love your inspiring, comprehsive Copic colouring videos Sherrie.

I love my Copic Sketch markers because they flow so nicely , blend perfectly and are so vibrant ! Definitely well worth the extra cost .... and the fact that the Sketch markers can be refilled definitely helped in my decision to go with the Sketch !

I've just recently been making my own cards with my daughter's guidance. I have been using her Copic's and feeling badly about using up her ink, but not badly enough to stop!! I love stamping and using the Copic's. I have tried other methods of coloring the cards, but there's no going back to those ways now. I am enthralled with the endless variety of colors available in the markers and want to try them all out!!

Sharon said...

I have recently starting using copics and love them because they make colouring so easy! Having not studied art at school and being only new to stamping I can use all the help I can get and copics are very user friendly. The fantastic colour range ensures you are always able to find the right colour for your project!

cutstickscrap said...

Copics are crayolas for big girls! I love being able to colour and shade just like I did as a kid - except, this time, they don't break nor need sharpening! The best thing ever is introducing my god-daughters to the world of Copic with Ciaos. They draw cute manga chibis and then have the best time colouring. I prefer Copic classic (square heads) but love the subtlety of the triple & quad 0's of Sketch.

Judy in Indiana said...

I avoided using stamps I had to color until i found copics. Now I even like to color so much I carry images with me to color while I am waiting at the doctor's office, at school, etc... I love the sketch markers because I am a sucker for the numbers on the ends.

The air brush offers such flexibility. My collection of Copics is very small. Already I can see how well they work. I am so impressed that I am making plans to attend a regional class to learn more.

I am not artistic but I have always loved palettes of color -- makeup, the 64 count crayola box, the Benjamin Moore paint display. I was happy to purchase an array of Copic markers in various colors (I have about 30.) I am not particularly adept at using them but I find coloring to be very therapeutic. I love to sit and color. When I go on vacation I take stamped images and my COPICs and color. When I get home I make cards with my images. I live on Long Island in NY and would LOVE to attend Copic certification classes. Right now, that would be my perfect gift.

Copics have been the answer to my stamping dilemma! I love to stamp but have been intimidated in the past because frankly....I'm no artist! I mean I can color in the lines but my images always looked like a child had colored them in! That's until I stumbled upon the Copic Sketch markers. I now can blend, color match, and add visual flair like a pro! The number system the markers use has really taken the guess work out of blending! My images now look so good that I'm proud to show them off and say "I did that!" Thanks Copic for a terrific product!

I am totally in love with copics. I started using them when I bought some Magnolia stamps from Magnolia-licious with Diana Crick, and she introduced me to coloring these images with copics. LOVE them!! I would love to have more of them to play with!

Copics are the creme de la creme of coloring mediums! I was 1st interested after surfing online & seeing lots of beautiful colored stamped images on cards. I was puzzled by how real the image looked & it appeared to pop vs. other images I had seen. I kept asking out loud 'How'd they do that . . . how'd they get it to look like that?' Every time I read the supply list it included Copics. That's when I knew I had to try my hand at them. They are incredible to work with. They feel like 'buttah' as you move about the brush tip on the paper. If given a fair chance, I think a lot of nonbelievers would change their minds. They are a superior marker. It leaves me with no other choice but to be a follower in this case & continue to collect them : )

So happy to have so many chances. I would love to have more Copics to really broaden my color choice selection. The other day I was "coloring" a stamped image during my garage sale and my neighbor asked what I was doing. I told her I was "just coloring" with my daughter. She looked at my image and said, that's not "just" coloring. I felt so happy. Love what the markers have done for my so called art ability.

I first purchase a few random colors of copics and was hooked. They make my coloring actually look like I have some artistic ability by making is easy to add highlights, shadows and blend colors. I carry a small card with me that has all my colors listed so if I happen to be somewhere that sells copics I have a reference so I don't duplicate. I drool at the projects created using the air brush system and would just love to own that someday. Thanks for the chance to play.

It took me a while before I would buy a copic marker. I was never happy with my coloring compared to what I was seeing on all the blogs. I was using colored pencils and water coloring. I made a few more cards and then one day I decided to buy 6 copics markers. I have never been happier with my coloring. I love the way they blend and my work looked much more professional! I was so upset with every card I made because of the streaks in my coloring. Now I love to make my cards more than ever before. I would not use anything else on any work I do. If I'm going to take the time to make something, I want it to look it's best.

I’ve been a COPIC lurker for a couple years. I didn’t even take the plunge myself. My husband held my hand and gave me some for a gift just a month ago. I’ve been surfing online for all the ways to use them and get better at using them… probably spending WAY more time surfing then I should on practice coloring with them. (I didn’t know there are Colorists. I want to be a Colorist! How cool does that sound!?! Nevermind that I have no color theory that could save me!) I learned the markers can also be used to color embellishments and so when I was making a mask for my Halloween costume, I thought, “Hey, I could use my new COPICs!” (I also tried to use a Sharpie, but it’s NOT the same!). Well, I guess I didn’t wait long enough for it to dry because my husband asked what all the black stuff was on my face… after I had taken the mask off. Well, I’m still surfing on how to use these things, but I also have actually started practicing. Fun times!! “Kids, want to color? Mommy wants to color.”

How awesome it would be to win a set of these Copic markers. No matter what other markers I have used, I can't compete with other non-professional artists without this wonderful system. The colors blend flawlessly, and the number of colors that are offered make this system a must have for anyone who wants to make their cards or other art stand out! The airbrush system is a scenery artists' dream! The skies and waters done with these markers make them look as close to a picture as you can get. Who knew you could love a little marker so much. Coloring is fun again! I love to make an image come to life and to move the ink across the paper to create a little piece of art. Copics make that possible, there is no other marker like it. So glad I took the plunge.

I just ordered my first Copic Sketch markers and I can't wait for them to arrive.

I have been waiting, chomping at the bit, I ordered a 36 piece set!
I'm sure that number will grow in no time at all.

I fell in love with Copics right away and had to have them. They have the most amazing color, so bright amd vivid, they just make you feel good.

Budgets are tight these days, so I have had to wait a while, but it was worth the wait.

There is so much I could rave about the copics all day long, but one of the reasons I love them is I can quit leaning over every minute. The way the sketch markerss are designed to not roll of the table is genius. It shows these are truly the top of the line in markers as everything about them has been considered the the consumers in mind.

In all honesty, I didn't think I needed Copics. My husband had a set of Prismacolor Markers from his college days that worked just fine. So why spend my money on Copics? I had markers that worked just as well, right? I had tried Copics at a stamping retreat, saw Debbie Olsen demo them at summer CHA '08 but hey, I had Prismacolor markers so I was good, right? Then one day a friend sent me some copics to play with. I still didn't want to get caught up in the Copic "craze" but hey, free is free and if someone wants to send them to me, I wouldn't say no. So I get the Copics and gingerly try my hand at them expecting the worse. Wait! Is that really my card? Wow, who colored it? Wait... it was me! With Copics! Wow! Look at the difference from the Copics to the Prismas I was using. I am in love with Copics now. My Prismas are gathering dust now as I head right to the small selection of Copics that I own. I would love to own some more but with the times being what they are, I can't afford to buy them all. So for now the 12 little Copics that I have are earning their keep and would love some friends to keep them company.

I love my Copics. I have both Sketch and Ciao (Ciao so I can afford to buy more colors.) I started using Copics to color and shade my die cuts on my scrapbook pages. As I became more confident in my blending techniques, I now do stamped images for cards. Copic markers just make it so easy. I saw so many beautiful stamped images on the internet, but with Copic markers, I can do that too. Thank you Copic. I would love to be able to win the set of new colors.

Okay, I can't believe I'm going to admit this: I bought my first set of Copic Ciao markers because they LOOKED COOL. That's right, I had no idea just how cool they were I just like the way they looked. Of course once I finally used them (I tend to hoard/collect art supplies and just admire them) I flipped! The vibrant colors, the way they felt when sliding across the paper, the blending, I was instantly in love.

these are the best I of course need more colors but the finish product you get when you color with these cannot even come close to watercolors or any other medium

I am a recent convert to Copics. I had started hearing a lot about them in my quest to learn more about card making and stamping. Everyone had rave reviews and so I had to give them a try. I could talk about Copic markers for hours. It's funny, But I took a shopping trip to a LSS here in town when I heard they had started selling Copic markers. The poor lady behind the counter was trying to show a customer things she could do with them, and I could tell she was lost. I felt bad for her, so I stepped up to the plate and started showing the other shopper how well they blended and how beautiful and vibrant the colors were on paper. She fell in love and promptly started buying. I truly have a passion for these markers and want to get the word out to everyone that it's actually the cheapest marker system you could use to color your stamps (once you reach the refill stage) and the highest quality product. It is a true joy to use these markers. thanks so much for all the fun! hugs!

I absolutely love Copics! And it all started with some blog candy that I won from Mish Mash (Michelle Wooderson). I had long ago given up on ever using markers to make a decent card. I bought & used just about every kind of water-based marker ~ but was always getting streaks ~ just plain ugly. I didn't know how the Copics could give any different results & there was no where local for me to pick up one to try. But when I received one from Michelle ~ my goodness, it colored so nicely ~ no streaks, just nice solid goodness!!! And I was hooked ~ line & sinker!!! Now, I hardly ever use any other coloring medium & would really, really, REALLY love to get ahold of the Airbrush system.

Hello~
I've been an obsessed fan of copics for four years now but I finally got my first custom sketch set about a year ago, and they beat any other marker that I've tried. Along with the sketch markers, I bought a few sp multiliners and they are absolutely amazing! I find that the nib doesn't get ruined as easily as other fine point pens and the fact that if a point did dull i can just buy a replacement nib!
I love coloring with copic because of the easy blending and how smooth it looks on finished pieces. I am an amateur manwha artist and copics bring such vibrancy to my work! These markers are beyond brilliant, and I hope to obtain more :) <3 Thank you~

I’ll start by admitting my love for everything Copic! I had started hearing about Copics, but they weren’t as popular on all the blogs, stores, etc. as they are today. I purchased my first set and was thrilled – it looked like I could actually color! I was amazed because I wasn’t the type of crafter looking for images to color. My first image had me hooked and I was so excited I…no, I didn’t run out and purchase stamps to color, I purchased more copics. Then I “needed” the ABS and the Spica markers and the multiliners. I made charts of what I had and I made wish lists of all the colors I still wanted. I played with the couple of images I had to color and was happy. Then, through blogs like Michelle’s and Debbie’s and Ellen’s I knew I had to have more images to color. So, I stocked up on those and soon realized I needed more colors of my Copics to achieve the look (or at least have a fighting chance to achieve the look) of my favorite bloggers. So, here I am with a Copic wish list as long as when I started because the more you use these amazing markers the more you want…need…covet! So, I would have to say my favorite is the Copic Sketch marker because, while I love the accessories and all the neat techniques that one can try with the ABS, the reinkers, etc., my true love is the amazing Copic marker!

My Copics are my favorite stamping tool! I love to color - a story my mom loves to tell is that when I was about 2.5, she went to get me out of my crib and couldn't find me anywhere. What a great giveaway! So fun! I use my Copics with other markers and pencils out on the market. Since Copics have light colors, I use them as the base for all my coloring, then I layer on anything else I have in my inventory. I would LOVE for Copics to release all the colors of Sketch in Caio version. I actually like the feel of the round tube more than I do the squarish tube. And I rather spend a little less money with Caio so I can buy more colors.

Congrats to everyone!

After becoming addicted to stampers' (mostly) blogs, I noticed how many bloggers mentioned their fabulous Copic markers. I was intrigued & started reading everything I could about them. I think I've purchased about every marker known to man, over the years, not ever being truly satisfied with the results. I've always been creative, love to color & (now) have a huge collection of stamps. Finally, I took the plunge & found that Copic markers were the answer! So versatile! To date, I have collected 154 Sketch markers, all the Atyou Spica pens, all the Multiliner SP BS pens, a black Copic Ink Pro Wallet Liner Kit Marker Set, one of the airbrush starter sets & the Papercrafting DVD. I couldn't praise Copic highly enough - I love it all!

Since the copic sketch markers have the numbering system written on the caps I have found myself easily selecting colors to blend & to create color schemes. I have actually begun exploring color theory using my copics. It is really easy to select a warm or cold shade of a color and find the correct colors from around the color wheel. I find I am growing more confident with my color selections and combinations. Thanks copic!

My name is Sophia and I'm 14 years old. I started using copics a couple years ago when my favourite art started to stock them, and I bought my first two colours: E00 and E27. Before, I was just using sharpies and other random markers to colour my work, and my none of them had any nice skin colours! Of course, I loved the brush tip so much, (it was brilliant for doing hair!) I spent most of my pocket money buying a couple more colours! Then, for my birthday my grandparents bought me a 24 ciao set. It was love at first sight.
Now, I have a lot more now (around 55), and I have filled quite a few of my 5x7 copic sketchbooks up with my drawings! I wasn't that good with them when I started, I always ended up with icky bleeds and colours that went outside the lines. But I read many tutorials online, and eventually created my own style! Rather than going for light to dark for example, I colour in my base colour, then go dark to light. I've never seen anybody else do it this way, and that's whats so great about copics! You can use them in so many ways, and it always turns out fantastiv.
I love the versatility of copic markers. I have used them on school projects, cards, and colouring vinyl figures! I want to thank you for giving me the chance to use them, and all your other amazing products. I currently use your paper, inking pens, and set B of spica's (I use them on a whole bunch of assignments, as well as the finishing touch on a characters eyes!) Thank you for giving me the chance to use such amazing products.
