Friendship

This was a card I made for the PC idol contest and I guess it wasn't what they were looking for. I love it though, so I thought I would show it to you. Lots of techniques with the grungeboard. The wings were painted and then liquid applique added to them and heat set. The heart was painted and a rim of glitter and liquid pearls added and the blackboard was scuffed with a layer of paint.

The quote is where my whole card originated from. This is from the Friendship Centers in the Mona Lisa Moments collection by Cornish Heritage Farms. You can find this set HERE.

I finished off the design with some stitching, rub-ons and some more blackboard flowers to compliment the "grove" DP by Memory Box.

We should be coming back from our camping trip today....hope you have enjoyed the week of projects. I am sure I will be anxious to get back at my stamping table as soon as I am home.

Enjoy your day!

OH, my! There just seems to be no accounting for some people's taste! The minute I clicked on your blog and saw this card I exclaimed out loud to myself how much I love this card! And that was before I read what you said about it being passed up. Love, love, love this card - really different and I love the colors.

Stunning card - probably too arty for PC... they seem to like simpler cards... Love the grungeboard and how well it goes with the sentiment... You are a WINNER in my book!!! I would have voted for it!!!
