CHF Challenge Chicks Glossy Cardstock

It is monday and challenge time with the CHF chicks! We challenged each other to play with some glossy cardstock....don't have any? It is the product spotlight at Cornish and you can find it here.
Oh to simplify, ever feel that way? I have had quite the week this last one and a death in the family definitely generates some perspective thinking. I created this card trying to create a scene which causes me to SLOW down and enjoy the moments. I certainly enjoyed the creative process on this card. This set is called "Primitive Beginnings" and has many neat pieces to it to create scenes. I stamped the hillside first then with my blending tool dabbed on alcohol inks to create the textured grass. The sky was SUPER simple, I just brayered some aqua color to the top half.

Love the little sheep in this set. I used my white liquid applique to create the wool. I had to be SUPER careful when heat setting because I didn't want to melt my glossy card stock. Lucky for me it worked really well. This close shot also shows you the depth of color in the hillside.
Here are all the card deets:
Stamps:
Primitive Beginnings (Rummage Bin) by Cornish Heritage Farms
Ink:
Black Stazon
Aqua Adirondack (Ranger)
Lettuce, Butterscotch Alcohol Inks (Ranger)
Paper:
Glossy Card stock
Birchtone Light (Prism)
Accessories:
White Liquid Applique
Ribbon (Making Memories)
Slot punch (EK Success)
Blending Tool (Ranger)

Here are the links to the girls playing along in this monday challenge! Have a good one today!

I LOVE this card, Sherrie! Looks like more sheep are in my future! This reminds me so much of a lot of the artwork in Virginia (where I grew up). Awesome, just awesome!

I absolutely LOVE this card. It reminds me of a cross stitch I did a while ago.
