Shower Time!

You are getting a treat today, three cards in one post! Normally I would space them out a little but due to the fact that I'm on holidays and internet connection is few and far between you get to see all my creations with this fun new mini set today! This is a new set called "shower time" from My Favorite Things that will be available September 1st! Isn't she so cute with her umbrella! All the words in the sentiments are separate so you can create many kinds of cards. ie bridal, baby, you're invited. I know I will get tons of use out of this, seems I'm always off to one kind of shower or another! On to the card. I used some of my favorite dp from Amy Butler. I pulled out my coluzzle oval template for the image, matted it, and then used some fine scallop scissors to frame it. I used my copics to color and these wonderful primas draw attention to the image. My goal for this card was to create a cohesive look in color and "feel". I secured all the pieces together with stitching (cheap adhesive!), the curves were a little tricky though....lol!

I just love drawing attention to the wonderful hump that the umbrella creates. I used Basic Grey DP for this card and it goes really well with my chunky ric rac ribbon. The little tag was made with my cuttlebug and I added a white eyelet holding a pink safety pin with the pin stitched ribbon detail. I paper pieced the umbrella and colored her body with my copics. I think the white faux stitching around the outside finished it off.
I thought this card turned out so bright and fun! I wanted to coordinate with this fabulous Offray striped ribbon. I used my coluzzle oval template again...can't wait to get my spellbinder dies! I used my slot punch from SU to slip my ribbon through and under my image. I did use the nifty corner details from "It's elemental" and embossed them in white. My oval SU punch was a great place for my sentiment...as it went with the "oval" theme. Colored with my copics.

Here is a close up of those darling little pearls I used as rain drops! I colored them with my copics to match the blue on the top and colored the ones by the sentiment in red.... very cool! There you have it, now all you have to do is be patient for September 1st when this set is released!
