News is out....there are some changes happening on our home front. We are just back from a vacation....the last one for a little while. I am heading back to school! Things will be very quiet on my blog as I imagine all my free time efforts will be for my studies. If inspiration does strike I will be sure to post it :)<br />
<br />
I am leaving my blog up so that you can still access my tutorials/videos. I am looking forward to this new adventure. School has changed a lot since I was there. Thanks for visiting! Sympathy cards are not really a "joy" to create but can be good for the soul. This one made with a little copic technique. To get some pretty color on this Thomas Kincade image I added drops of Copic Various Ink to the stamp itself (BV00,G20, T2, BG70 and E31), let it dry and then spritzed lightly with blender solution and stamp. The second step (to get some good detail on this stamp) was to stamp again in the EXACT same spot with natural hybrid ink from MFT.<br />
<br />
Embossed sentiment in gold and a little embossing over the edges along with a VERY simple layout for this busy scene.<br />
<br />
I am heading to Calgary this weekend! Woohoo...and it looks like I am bringing some BC sunshine along with me....yay! See many of you soon!<br />
<br />
More copic classes and details can be found on my <a href="http://sherrie-cardcreme.blogspot.ca/p/copic-certification-details.html">Details page</a> or the <a href="https://imaginationinternationalinc.com/copic/classes/workshops/">Copic Website</a>....don't miss out! <br />
You are in for treat today as Copic pairs up with the ever popular Art Squares by Inchie Arts. There are so many things to love about this pairing! <br />
<br />
Did you know: <br />
Art Squares are the perfect canvas for creating small-format art!<br />
They come in 6 sizes (1 inch, 1.5 inch, 2 inch, 3 inch, 4 inch, and ATC).<br />
Art Squares come in 7 colors (black, dark gray, light gray, kraft, dark cream, light cream and white).<br />
They are perfect for wet or dry mediums. <br />
Copic markers and inks look amazingly vibrant and deliciously rich on Art Squares!<br />
Copic multiliners glide smoothly across the surface.<br />
Work on the “top” or toothy side for the best results. <br />
You can mix and match your mediums! No warping, bending or curling. <br />
<br />
You can find more information about both Copic products and Inchie Art Squares at the links below. <br />

<br />
Our teaching and design teams have been challenged to put marker (or ink) to these precision-cut matboard surfaces and see what happens! (You are not going to BELIEVE these samples… trust me - they rock!)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7JLoUA5I-KmzIb2qvzMCtwKma5zjEHsxEYmnMBOSVSRQ0mYU0vm-zC-nIdiQ7ik7eSlMHjKU8num6lq62L5MT-LMe5bxvwOMhcE4xjiKt1SUqm9vKlDoumSvZkAh20Yq3uHMbfRGgDGm6/s1600/IMG_9505.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7JLoUA5I-KmzIb2qvzMCtwKma5zjEHsxEYmnMBOSVSRQ0mYU0vm-zC-nIdiQ7ik7eSlMHjKU8num6lq62L5MT-LMe5bxvwOMhcE4xjiKt1SUqm9vKlDoumSvZkAh20Yq3uHMbfRGgDGm6/s1600/IMG_9505.jpg" /></a></div>
First up....I used a large 4x4 inchie in white to make this sweet little scene. I stamped with Taylored Expressions "Tanner" set. I then put my copic markers to work! I used a few stencils to airbrush the background (the trees and the the clouds). This would be super easy to mat on a card front or adhere a picture of your pooch to the backside! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha-jm0ZZDAjPLOvQq8CaUd2cOuVgPkjRYvTSte-AZIg9xMxBkCZMJHTIkcxD1yNb0bPEeXNslyv4s1vFfSAs5JWDbt7nam2vpK7xzlFH18L631F5Lsl770BoqMP14N9yazIGUdzB7pRsXf/s1600/IMG_9507.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha-jm0ZZDAjPLOvQq8CaUd2cOuVgPkjRYvTSte-AZIg9xMxBkCZMJHTIkcxD1yNb0bPEeXNslyv4s1vFfSAs5JWDbt7nam2vpK7xzlFH18L631F5Lsl770BoqMP14N9yazIGUdzB7pRsXf/s1600/IMG_9507.jpg" height="396" width="400" /></a></div>
Next up is a sweet little duo with a valentines' theme. These are created on the 2.5x3.5 size inchie ...the one on the left in white and the one on the left in cream.<br />
<br />
The squirrel is from MFT's "Cute Critters" set and the elephant duo is from Paper Smooches "A little lovin". I used X-press its' new product "Stencil Sheets" to create the heart mask and put my airbrush to work. I love coloring with my copic gray markers! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6PhVPxwF2vZCSkMJDwnTbWh8y8eIfXvkxzGgikHA9PAO8UxLYC5wiUvfzyImrvLX8j7rZZLtduOk5_qb0SiwrcJA9C1LsCQjudNhBXkOwy8UygI_opm1sLDsTZaSjeEn6W-rsfrxjmKJw/s1600/IMG_9506.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6PhVPxwF2vZCSkMJDwnTbWh8y8eIfXvkxzGgikHA9PAO8UxLYC5wiUvfzyImrvLX8j7rZZLtduOk5_qb0SiwrcJA9C1LsCQjudNhBXkOwy8UygI_opm1sLDsTZaSjeEn6W-rsfrxjmKJw/s1600/IMG_9506.jpg" /></a></div>
Last up is a sweet little owl from Paper Smooches "Chubby Chums" set on a 2.5x3.5 inchie....I just did this inchie landscape instead of a profile orientation. I used my copic multiliner to draw his little wire perch and airbrushed with a cloud stencil the background.<br />
<br />
Hope you enjoyed all the critter lovin' in this stop on the blog hop!<br />

What exactly is the Fine Art Teaching Team and what will Jennifer be doing with Copic? Well, the Fine Art Teaching Team is made up of a number of professional artists and instructors who travel across the country demoing and teaching at fine art stores and art schools. Jennifer has already been busy booking demos and classes in her area! <br />
<br />
Jennifer has been using Copics since 2010 and her passion and enthusiasm are apparent to everyone she works with. As an artist by nature, Jennifer is currently busy teaching Copic Boot Camp retreats, working on her own DoveArt Designs stamp line, and designing in mixed media, jewelry making, card making and altered arts. She also has a number of video classes available with Annie’s Publishing. She is very excited to be adding this new teaching venture into her line-up. <br />
<br />
We know that Jennifer will ROCK THE SOCKS OFF of those art schools and stores and we are so thrilled to be able to welcome her to the Copic teaching family. <br />
<br />
To see more of Jennifer’s work, check out her blog at<a href="https://www.just4funcrafts.blogspot.com/"> just4funcrafts.blogspot.com</a><br />

Foxy, felt forest....say that quickly!<br />
<br />
I always have fun mixing up my paper crafting items with felt and fabrics. Here is a tag made without paper.<br />
<br />
The tag is the from the<a href="http://mftstamps.com/die-namics-pierced-traditional-tag-stax"> "Pierced Tag STAX"</a> and the tree line is from <a href="http://mftstamps.com/die-namics-campy-tree-lines">"Campy Tree Lines"</a>. The adorable fox is from the<a href="http://mftstamps.com/mstn-cute-critters"> "Cute Critters"</a> stamp set. <br />
<br />
I stamped him with versacraft ink on cotton fabric and colored him up with my copic markers. If you look close you can see how fabric is a little different than paper, the ink wants to bleed and wick quickly!<br />
<br />
The glasses and hat are from a Paper Smooches set called <a href="http://www.papersmoochesstamps.com/Chubby_Chum_Pals_p/des-11-053.htm">"Chubby Chum pals"</a>. Finished off with a little red bead for his nose....<br />

A stamp from years ago....it is so nice to pull out some of my favorites! This is "Santa's Lap" and I don't believe anyone makes it anymore....a discontinued stamp doesn't mean I can't use it!<br />
<br />
I stamped him in natural hybrid ink from My Favorite Things. Colored them up with my copic markers....WAY too many to list!<br />
I then airbrushed the background with E43 and E49. <br />
<br />
I used a couple of die cuts to add a little something to the card....first of the "Merry" can you see in the photo to the left how it is inset into the card? The card front is nice and flat. This is the <a href="http://mftstamps.com/die-namics-christmas-greetings">"Christmas Greetings" </a>Die-namics from MFT.<br />
<br />
The whole card is cut from the <a href="http://mftstamps.com/die-namics-mini-album-torn-notebook-stax">"Mini Album Torn Notebook"</a>, the largest size in the stack, from MFT as well.<br />
<br />
Below you can see a peek into the inside....once I had cut the "merry" from the front, I just had to use it on the inside. <br />
<br />
Make sure you take a peek at all the new classes and copic details! Here was the <a href="http://us4.campaign-archive1.com/?u=8f75b9a2094a431b8ea5e1e6d&id=ee0d147035&e=d24198851e">last newsletter</a>, in case you missed it! See you in Anaheim in January! Yay! <br />

Leaves are falling at our house! It looked like it was snowing leaves yesterday....<br />
This is the inspiration behind todays' project. I used the <a href="http://mftstamps.com/ljd-out-on-a-limb">"Out on a Limb" stamp set</a> and <a href="http://mftstamps.com/die-namics-out-on-a-limb">Die-namics</a> to create this clean and simple card.<br />
<br />
I wanted to show the detail of the leaves on the ground up close....Just a wee bit of W1 and W3 copic markers added to the "grounding" of my tree . <br />

Ever had one of these days? Where you just want to say "nuts"?<br />
<br />
I have had a few of those.....<br />
<br />
This is an adorable set that I received as a gift! Thanks <a href="http://onehappystamper.typepad.com/">Cindy</a> :)<br />
<br />
This is the <a href="http://mftstamps.com/mstn-cute-critters">"Cute Critters" </a>set from MFT. I just used the acorn and immediately thought of the movie Ice Age as that poor little critter was chasing the nuts all movie long....lol!<br />
<br />
I stamped the acorns masking them off as I went. I then colored them with my <a href="http://affiliates.copicmarker.com//jrox.php?id=104_1_bid_4">copic markers</a>. E50,53 and 34 for the lower half and then E25,47 and 49 for the upper half. The grounding I did with my E41,43 and 44. The background was airbrushed with BG11.<br />
<br />
Just in case you are having a "nuts" day....Sherriehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17247659960117718993noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1698968979707489176.post-19928441133223157342014-10-17T11:26:00.001-07:002014-10-17T11:26:31.919-07:00Grateful<div>

Welcome Friday! A custom background I have to show you today....<br />
<br />
I stamped the background with the <a href="http://mftstamps.com/brand-spankin-new/fine-chevron-background">"Fine Chevron Background"</a> and versamark ink, embossing with clear detail powder. I colored my chevron stripes (quite quickly because I wasn't concerned with going over the lines a little) with my <a href="http://affiliates.copicmarker.com//jrox.php?id=104_1_bid_4">copic markers.....V22,BV17,E33,E27</a><br />
<br />
I went over that with an iron and paper bag to remove the embossing powder. I then stamped the leaf from the <a href="http://mftstamps.com/ljd-fall-foliage">"Fall Foliage"</a> set. I love how it picked up the pattern but stamped nice and clean.<br />
<br />
The sentiment is a Die-namics from the <a href="http://mftstamps.com/die-namics/sentiments/die-namics-words-of-gratitude">"Words of graditude"</a> set. I embossed a sheet of vellum in gold embossing powder and then die cut the word. <br />
<br />

I am back in my studio after a great weekend in Vancouver! Fun Copic Classes!<br />
<br />
One of the many techniques that I demonstrate is direct stamp coloring with copics....here is an example of that. First up I debossed the tree branch portion with the <a href="http://mftstamps.com/die-namics-out-on-a-limb">"Out on a Limb" Die-namics</a> and then I colored up the stamps of both the leaves and the tree with my copic markers....they dry super fast.....<br />
<br />
To reactivate the copic ink, I simply spritzed with blender solution from a mister bottle and then quickly stamped with the <a href="http://mftstamps.com/ljd-out-on-a-limb">"out on a limb" stamp set </a>from MFT. I love the imperfect, impressionistic look that this renders :)<br />
<br />
I used YG21,25, Y15, R02,05 for the leaves. Then I airbrushed some YG01 and BG11 in the background. Simple and pretty:)<br />
<br />
Be sure to check out when copic classes and workshops are coming to your area! You can see the details on my updated copic page <a href="http://sherrie-cardcreme.blogspot.ca/p/copic-certification-details.html">HERE</a>.....Next up for me....Portland! Yay! Hope to see you there! Happy Friday! Did anyone catch the new "Goldberg's" this week?<br />
<br />
As a child of the 80's it is on our PVR "must watch" list....what a hoot! If you didn't, you really should and then you would totally get the inspiration behind this card....<br />
<br />
First up, I airbrushed the background with my copic BG72 and my <a href="http://mftstamps.com/stencil-on-the-diagonal">"On the Diagonal"</a> stencil from MFT.<br />
<br />
The cassette itself is a combo of stamps and dies. It is the <a href="http://mftstamps.com/die-namics-lld-accent-it-cassette-tape">Cassette Die-namics</a> paired up with the <a href="http://mftstamps.com/lld-journal-it-playlist">"Playlist" stamp set</a> from MFT. It is an 80's theme...but I made it modern with the colors.<br />
<br />
I have been doing a lot of traveling and Copic certification and workshop teaching (which is why it has been quiet on my blog). Looking forward to more crafting time nearer to the end of October.<br />
<br />
Are you looking for a class? The <span style="font-size: large;"><b>LAST CLASSES of 2014</b></span> are up on my <a href="http://sherrie-cardcreme.blogspot.ca/p/copic-certification-details.html">Copic Details page</a> and you can also find them on the <a href="http://www.copicmarker.com/certification">COPIC site</a>. I am heading to my stomping grounds in Vancouver next weekend! Happy Monday! It is sure starting to feel like fall and I love it! Warm during the day and then cool nights :)<br />
<br />
A quick little card to share with you today in one of my favorite color palettes!<br />
<br />
The wood stump and sentiment are from the <a href="http://mftstamps.com/ljd-wood-you-be-mine">"Wood you be mine"</a> set from MFT and the sweet little acorns are from the <a href="http://mftstamps.com/ljd-fall-foliage">"Fall Foliage"</a> set.<br />
<br />
The little bird is actually from a hero arts bird trio (LP169) from a few years back. I colored him up with my copics directly on kraft cardstock. Adding a little bit of pencil for the white highlight along his back. The copics are E21,23,25 YG21,95 and YR04 for the beak. <br />
<br />
For the finishing touch, I added the little acorns sprinkled the ground with some gold glitter too.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><i>I am off to Calgary this weekend....for a fun FULL COPIC workshop day! Woohoo! I will say that I am relieved that their snow storm hit last week and not this week.....</i></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><i>There are some new venues for COPIC Workshops/Certifications that have been put up this week! Be sure to check out my updated <a href="http://sherrie-cardcreme.blogspot.ca/p/copic-certification-details.html">Copic Details page</a>! </i></span><br />

This is my favorite time of year! Warm sun in the afternoon and cool nights (perfect for the hot tub). I have had a wonderful summer vacation and was excited to get back at my studio and do a little crafting :)<br />
<br />
I decided to head on over to one of my favorite spots for inspiration and that is<a href="https://www.blogger.com/goog_433798416"> Splitcoaststampers.</a><br />
<a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/ways-use-f46/wt495-%7E-autumn-leaves-%7E-%7B09-04-2014%7D-t591642.html">.</a>..and played along with today's<a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/ways-use-f46/wt495-%7E-autumn-leaves-%7E-%7B09-04-2014%7D-t591642.html"> "ways to use it" </a>challenge.....fall leaves.<br />
<br />
I used watercolor paper for my card base and then laid a piece of vellum stamped with the <a href="http://mftstamps.com/bg-woodgrain-background">"woodgrain background"</a>. The circle cut out is from the "<a href="http://mftstamps.com/die-namics-blueprints-12">Blueprints 12" Die-namics.</a><br />
<br />
The pretty fall leaf and acorns are from the <a href="http://mftstamps.com/ljd-fall-foliage">"Fall Foliage" </a>stamp set along with the coordinating <a href="http://mftstamps.com/die-namics-ljd-fall-foliage">Die-namics</a>.<br />
<br />
I did a little Copic airbrushing on the leaf with Y32, Y38 and Y28 markers to add a slight variation in the colors. Not too much....we aren't all the way into fall yet!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRMZ_iRuexPjJivY36DFx5mLXIUio6JqDzW2EKqVUg_TV2yL_w7XCiED9lzFQviXKliuoL9UKrKpAXUuvJH7N_oCHAr62zJNmTktPznBl_P51yJY_B0W_-_er975-bhGMkIBfL0Dp3u2ci/s1600/IMG_8865.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRMZ_iRuexPjJivY36DFx5mLXIUio6JqDzW2EKqVUg_TV2yL_w7XCiED9lzFQviXKliuoL9UKrKpAXUuvJH7N_oCHAr62zJNmTktPznBl_P51yJY_B0W_-_er975-bhGMkIBfL0Dp3u2ci/s1600/IMG_8865.jpg" /></a></div>
<center>
</center>
</div>
I have added a few gold trim accents....the wire and the glitter.<br />
<br />
Looking for<span style="font-size: large;"><b> Copic classes</b></span>? We have announced another few venues for fall!!!! Looking for something on the west coast? I will be in<b><i> Calgary, Vancouver and Portland</i></b> this fall :)<br />

We just enjoyed a wonderful long weekend here in BC! A ONE LAYER, simple card for you today showcasing one of my favorite things....copics! You wouldn't think that flower is done with markers...well it is done with copic marker various ink refills and my waterpen filled with blender solution. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I love the pretty watercolor looking results of this technique....but first I need to describe how I got all that texture!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I did my stamping first, using <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/brand-spankin-new?product_id=2564">"Birthday Chalkboard Greetings"</a> and <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/brand-spankin-new?product_id=2561"> "Delicious Birthday"</a> from MFT! I stamped them in the Black Licorice Hybrid ink. Now....for the texture. I prepared the die cut sandwich for embossing on my machine. I then laid down my <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/index.php?route=product/product&filter_name=rose+&product_id=2322">"Rose with Overlay"</a> Die-namics, A piece from the <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/index.php?route=product/product&filter_name=blueprints+9&product_id=2247">"Blueprints 9" </a>for the sentiment and then laid over all of this the <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/index.php?route=product/product&filter_name=grid&product_id=2557">"Grid" stencil</a>. I ran it through my machine a couple of times to ensure deep impressions. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For the copic "watercolor" I used YR68, YR31 and R05 Various inks. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Are you signed up for a <span style="font-size: large;"><b>Copic Certification or Workshop</b></span>? Some new locations were just added....<i><b>Vancouver BC and Calgary</b></i> are for my fellow Canadians :)</div>

I decided to play along with today's<a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/clean-simple-cards-f239/cas283-little-ribbon-scraps-7-28-14-a-t590219.html"> clean and simple challenge over on SCS</a>! It has been a LONG while since I have had the chance! We were challenged to use some of our ribbon bits and scraps to create a project.<br />
<br />
I created this project for my sweet little niece....that needs a little hug as she broke her arm yesterday. Poor thing!<br />
<br />
This whole tag is ribbon! I added adhesive on a piece of cardstock and then lined up the ribbons and then put it through my die cut machine with the<a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/index.php?route=product/product&filter_name=pierced+tag&product_id=2210"> "Pierced Tag STAX Die-namics"</a>. This made a nice clean edge to the ribbon....so nice! <br />

The sweet little pure innocence image is <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/clear-stamps/Pure-Innocence?product_id=2538">"Sending Big Hugs"</a> from MFT! I even added a little ribbon to her skirt :) I colored her up with my<a href="http://affiliates.copicmarker.com//jrox.php?id=104_1_bid_4"> copic markers</a>....these little gals are always fun to color!<br />

Happy Monday! Lots of updates to share with you today!<br />
<br />
First up is this little sweetie called<a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/brand-spankin-new?product_id=2562"> "Sweet Birthday Wishes" </a>from MFT....she is a new release for July!<br />
<br />
I stamped her directly on kraft cardstock and then paper pieced everything except her hair and cupcake base. The papers are from <a href="http://www.melissafrances.com/">Melissa Frances</a>. <br />
<br />
I colored her up with my <a href="http://affiliates.copicmarker.com//jrox.php?id=104_1_bid_4">copic markers</a>...being sure to add shadows and dimension to her paper pieced dress.<br />
<br />
The sentiment comes from a new set from MFT called <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/brand-spankin-new?product_id=2561">"Delicious Birthday"</a>....PERFECT for all things BIRTHDAY! <br />

Fun little technique card to show you today....and a little step by step to walk you through my process. This is very much a ONE LAYER card.<br />
<br />
Let's walk through it.....<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiY5y_FdaWjPkIMWFRzomBoQdJilZDdtUiHzz6C64bojLvdBqQIqrMCxQ1HQOpw-UysS_uHRWTOKh0ytHiH0pTZKOyKNivwqV0FFIVGQDxCc5v3mSxQgDKdJ4xEHyDblaXgO6NBFm687ms3/s1600/IMG_8292.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiY5y_FdaWjPkIMWFRzomBoQdJilZDdtUiHzz6C64bojLvdBqQIqrMCxQ1HQOpw-UysS_uHRWTOKh0ytHiH0pTZKOyKNivwqV0FFIVGQDxCc5v3mSxQgDKdJ4xEHyDblaXgO6NBFm687ms3/s1600/IMG_8292.jpg" /></a></div>
I cut the <a href="http://lm.inlinkz.com/go.php?i=543499&c=106872">"Layered Umbrellas" </a>Die-namics from a post it note and placed it on my card base.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuI5nUBWcCv9lwqZA15LuzZ2SCUkJaDx7yaKGqd7aM9msLgXzC_QqWA5tHTKwjZFoTFZxLId2Rhon8Prrte_Kt0MlvYrXhUl_TUGCyei2fmVa3_zTdOksk-eXMMJkhUUC-NnP2FldWYYcr/s1600/IMG_8293.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuI5nUBWcCv9lwqZA15LuzZ2SCUkJaDx7yaKGqd7aM9msLgXzC_QqWA5tHTKwjZFoTFZxLId2Rhon8Prrte_Kt0MlvYrXhUl_TUGCyei2fmVa3_zTdOksk-eXMMJkhUUC-NnP2FldWYYcr/s1600/IMG_8293.jpg" /></a></div>
I then masked off the edges of that umbrella with more post it notes, going right to the bottom of my card. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVAKitPpT5M1JZ3I5OQ5UMPJHUxUjcA6rf99ZJJEVWF52AEQ-GmMe-XDXVC1e5oOXYNZcWHT96JZ2rKX51NkFqo-IdCffKJ7NuKs6CofZSRJirTr9LlrxXXeADKpVyEce1-g9TnlZm5YMi/s1600/IMG_8294.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVAKitPpT5M1JZ3I5OQ5UMPJHUxUjcA6rf99ZJJEVWF52AEQ-GmMe-XDXVC1e5oOXYNZcWHT96JZ2rKX51NkFqo-IdCffKJ7NuKs6CofZSRJirTr9LlrxXXeADKpVyEce1-g9TnlZm5YMi/s1600/IMG_8294.jpg" /></a></div>
I then inked up the <a href="http://lm.inlinkz.com/go.php?i=479525&c=106872">"Typewriter Text" </a>background with some Spearmint Hybrid ink and inked up my card front. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnJ0U7d1SGD61luXExz_3PYmtM8dKSnoPSOJ6beRE9PnSn_7tvGq9SzFGS7R2pxsLJX3edVxhTLJWUmZr7TrqPUYPJq3h4F86S1gDZslZ427HOep5LmIe2FDio3SeyPy3TVRPK71fgrCmo/s1600/IMG_8295.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnJ0U7d1SGD61luXExz_3PYmtM8dKSnoPSOJ6beRE9PnSn_7tvGq9SzFGS7R2pxsLJX3edVxhTLJWUmZr7TrqPUYPJq3h4F86S1gDZslZ427HOep5LmIe2FDio3SeyPy3TVRPK71fgrCmo/s1600/IMG_8295.jpg" /></a></div>
I then did a base of<a href="http://lm.inlinkz.com/go.php?i=509442&c=106872"> COPIC airbrushing</a> with BG13 still leaving my mask in tact. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I then laid the <a href="http://lm.inlinkz.com/go.php?i=546500&c=106872">"Raindrops" </a>stencil over my cardfront and taped it down. <a href="http://lm.inlinkz.com/go.php?i=509442&c=106872">Airbrushing </a>with BG18. I moved the stencil to add some more raindrops and then <a href="http://lm.inlinkz.com/go.php?i=509442&c=106872">airbrushed</a> again. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisTXSHRgw-tJUphPKMzK7gx-JlLE5YA3YVIf6PGqbCdMUO5dGp8ZP_2elQ1FzsXEnXDVznOm-s9nOYrJmx8Rv92BuwsW_nOgq5J-LEiEfYwqOPnIL-F5R706HbAeTF7L1LNYsLI_X07vxh/s1600/IMG_8300.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisTXSHRgw-tJUphPKMzK7gx-JlLE5YA3YVIf6PGqbCdMUO5dGp8ZP_2elQ1FzsXEnXDVznOm-s9nOYrJmx8Rv92BuwsW_nOgq5J-LEiEfYwqOPnIL-F5R706HbAeTF7L1LNYsLI_X07vxh/s1600/IMG_8300.jpg" /></a></div>
<center>
</center>
</div>
Here is a look at the very "One layer" nature of this card. For the umbrella itself....I painted with a little grapejelly and grapesicle refill and a bit of shimmer mist. I cut the remaining pieces from steel grey cardstock.<br />
<br />
The sentiment is from the<a href="http://lm.inlinkz.com/go.php?i=543502&c=106872"> "Blue Skies Ahead" </a>set (altered a little to fit my space).<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by! <br />

There is something to "Smile" about in the copic world that we are announcing! A little note about the card to celebrate the hop today. This is combining two Birdie Brown sets from MFT <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/clear-stamps/birdie-brown-stamps?product_id=2474">"Let's Hang Out"</a> and <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/clear-stamps/birdie-brown-stamps?product_id=2416">"Sunflower Sweetheart"</a>. Colored up with my copic markers! NOW...on to the announcement!<br />

Things are changing for me...you may have seen announced on the <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/blog/fond-farewells-and-fresh-faces/">MFT blog</a> that I have decided to say a sweet farewell.<br />
<br />
It is time for me to take a little step back from deadlines and create....just to create. I love MFT and the MFT family so this was a TOUGH decision, but I do feel a good peace about it.<br />
<br />
I do want to say a SPECIAL THANK YOU to Kim van der Sanden. You have been so wonderful to me and it has been a complete delight to work with your fabulous goodies! <br />
<br />
You will still see me here regularly on my blog, creating as always....just a little more on my timetable :)<br />
<br />
So to say a sweet farewell to the design team I created todays' card using some <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/">AWESOME MFT goodies</a>!<br />
<br />
I started off with<a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/index.php?route=product/product&filter_name=story+titles&product_id=1979"> "Story Titles"</a> at the top making my white (memories) panel. I then copic airbrushed BG72 with the <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/index.php?route=product/product&filter_name=petal+circles&product_id=2228">"Petal Circles"</a> stencil.<br />
<br />
I then added the new <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/index.php?route=product/product&filter_name=amp&product_id=2543">"Ampersand"</a> and<a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/index.php?route=product/product&filter_name=lots+of+love&product_id=2316"> "Lots of love"</a> Die-namics. You can see how I stacked up a few layers of cardstock to make the <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/index.php?route=product/product&filter_name=amp&product_id=2543">"Ampersand"</a> stand out!<br />
<br />
I will miss you <a href="http://mft./">MFT</a>....but I won't be far away!<br />
<i><span style="font-size: large;"><b>Memories and Love to you all!</b></span></i><br />
