Time for a little peek at the new Pure Innocence stamps coming this month! I am showing you "Lily of the Valley". These are just coming up in my yard so I was inspired to use her this month.
This is a very simple layout so that the focus really is the sweet image. I colored her with my copics and then embossed her and cut her out using a spellbinder die.
The loops in the die lend themselves nicely to ribbon accent.
I paper pieced her dress but didn't forget to add the shading to the dress with my cool gray markers. See how adding a bit of shading to the skirt makes the pleating look a little more life like?I used the toner grays for her hair and shoes and then used my cool grays for the shadow cast on the ground.
